This ensures you're on the official Trezor site (watch out for fake/phishing sites).
③ Install Trezor Suite
Trezor Suite is the recommended desktop or web app to manage your device.
- Download for Windows, Mac, or Linux
- Optionally, use the Web version via Chrome or Firefox
Download Trezor Suite here
④ Connect Your Trezor
- Plug your Trezor into your computer or mobile (USB-C or micro-USB depending on model)

⑤ Install Firmware (First Time Use)
- Your device may arrive without firmware pre-installed
- Trezor Suite will guide you to install the latest secure firmware version
⚠️ If firmware is already installed out of the box — STOP — contact support, possible tampering
⑥ Create a New Wallet
- Choose "Create New Wallet"
- Optionally enable Shamir Backup (Safe 3, Safe 5, Model T) for enhanced recovery security
- Write down your Recovery Seed Phrase (12, 20, or 24 words) — store it offline, never share it
⑦ Verify Recovery Phrase
- Confirm the phrase on the Trezor device itself
- Never type it into your computer
⑧ Set PIN Code

- The PIN protects device access if lost or stolen
